A computer glitch yesterday forced National Australia Bank’s telephone and internet banking services to be suspended.
Technical difficulties prevented people from logging on to the bank’s internet banking system for a few hours. However, the problem was resolved by 4pm.
While there were no details as to how the problem occurred or how many people were affected by the glitch, a spokesperson for the bank was quick to point out that the problem was in “no way” related to the technical errors that plagued the bank late last year.
In November last year, a corrupted computer file crippled NAB’s payment system, leaving up to 19,000 customers without their pay.
