Homeloans has bolstered its New South Wales team with the appointment of two new credit managers.

Peter Brown and Kate Brewster join the non-bank lender with more than 25 years’ experience in credit management between them, both having worked for major financial service firms around Australia.

Mr Brown is a former Pepper employee who has previously managed credit assessment for both PAYG and self-employed borrowers.

“From simple deals to non-conforming loans, working with brokers and being part of the lending process – I find it all very satisfying,” Mr Brown said.

Ms Brewster previously held positions at Macquarie Bank and Commonwealth Bank.

She said her credit experience working for large financial firms would be a great asset for her new role at Homeloans.

“I’m looking forward to working with a range of funders and the opportunity to provide the solutions that meet the needs of brokers and clients,” she said.

The new appointments follow Homeloans’ recent additions to its New South Wales BDM team in September.

Ray Hair, Homeloans’ general manager of national sales, said the increased demand for mortgages is driving demand for the company’s services.

“Bolstering our NSW team means we have the capability to provide solutions to meet this need,” he said.
